Tahiti was not exactly what we expected. It was much quieter and isolated. That said, it was also more beautiful than I can describe in words or with the pictures. I often refer to this trip now as "taking a vacation inside of a postcard". Our time in the Over-the-Water bungalow truly amazing and if there is any way we can do that again, you can be sure we will.
Cruising on a smaller ship was a very different experience, we certainly enjoyed it. Not traveling with your closest 3,000 friends has something to be said for it. The minute we boarded the ship, we could feel the difference. That said, the constant buzz on a bigger ship has its place as well. I'm sure we will do both going forward.
Traveling with our friends Jennifer and Luc was a wonderful experience. They are great travelers and photographers. Many of the pictures in this blog were theirs. Celebrating my 60th birthday on this trip with them was a special experience. We can't wait to celebrate again with them, maybe Antarctica?
Here is a slideshow of our best pictures, including some that we could fit in the blog. We hope you enjoyed experiencing the trip with us through this blog.
